LokSound 5 Scaletrains CN Dash 9 (Premium) Custom Sound File Project
Take your factory sound equipped models up a notch with this custom sound file designed specifically for the Scaletrains.com Canadian National version Dash 9! All lighting functions are pre-programmed and include the front/rear red marker lights on this version, CV's/settings/volumes optimized for drop in replacement. Please note this file can be used in other brands models such as the Athearn Genesis Dash 9 but you will need to adjust the lighting functions to your application, this file features:
(8) Airhorns including: Canadian K3L variants as well as replacement P3/P5/K5H/K5LA horns found on many current era prototypes (selectable via CV163=0-7)
(5) Bells including: Various steel bells & E-Bell options (selectable via CV164=0-4)
Coupler slack (F3)
Rail wheel/flange squeal set to (F7)
Custom GE "Whoop" air compressor
Radio Sequence (F28)

This listing is for (1) single use digital custom sound file project for use with the factory installed ESU LokSound 5 decoder in the Scaletrains C44-9W models.
Horn will need to be adjusted by the user for preference, CV163:
0=P5 Solenoid
1-P3
2=K3L CN #1
3=K3L CN #2
4=P5
5=K5H
6=K5LAR24
7=K5LA
Bell will need to be adjusted by the user for preference, CV164:
0=E-Bell #1
1-E-Bell #2
2=GE Steel Bell #1
3=GE Steel Bell #2
4=GE Steel Bell #3
(Disclaimer: the stock sound files can be downloaded from the ESU website for free, the sale of this file is for the custom recordings added to it, not the file itself). In order to checkout, you will need to do the following:
- Enter your decoder serial number (to find this, hook your decoder or ESU equipped locomotive to the LokProgrammer and read the decoder data by following the 6 steps as shown here), note this is not the decoders model number (54499, 54400, 54700, etc.) but it's 8 digit unique serial number such as FA06E311
- Enter your decoder type i.e. "LokSound 5 DCC", LokSound 5 Micro DCC, "LokSound Micro V4.0", etc. - note all factory sound equipped SXT locomotives have a LokSound 5 DCC, so please enter that unless this will be installed in a non-SXT locomotive
